Books are magic carpets,
to be used by anyone
When you journey through the pages,
a traveler you become.
Authors take you by the hand,
and give you a tour of storyland.
If you desire the Land of Pretend
or want to stroll with heroic men,
Books help you to visualize
More than you can realize.
Descriptions of the lands across the sea,
tales of adventure and mystery.
Jungle stories and Indian lore,
Kings and Queens and days of yore.
Sometimes there’s a word you can’t comprehend,
then the dictionary becomes your friend.
So select your destination, magic carpets are waiting.
The library’s your launch pad and you’re navigating.
